I’m a scientist and a real person!
(and musician)
I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at UC San Diego School of Medicine. I earned my Ph.D. in the Faculty of Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. My primary research interest concerns how the blood vessels in the lung adapt to exercise. Read more here!

I was a hammer thrower on the UC San Diego Track and Field team, which ultimately led to my career interest in exercise physiology. Since starting my position as a Postdoc in August 2017, I documented my personal weight loss journey over the next year.
